Science has been part of our lives. We can see that we really use it every time and in different ways. It has also helped us in improving our lives in many ways. But we also know that everything has its own disadvantages and advantages, just like Science.
Science is one the reason that our lives has been really easier to live with. I can’t even imagine living our lives the way people did million years ago. We depend on it. Things would be done much easier with it. Just like for example, a robot that could do your work or chores. You wouldn’t hire a maid or employee anymore to do your work and to pay their services and we could save some money for that. You could even save a lot of your energy for not telling your hired maid to do the things you want them to do repeatedly because unlike a robot, things are programmed for them to do so.
We also know that because of Science we have learned more about our universe, world, and surroundings. We’ve learned how to use the things around our environment and how take care of them. There are different branches of Science that are assigned to study the different fields. Science has also helped us in curing diseases. Imagine our lives without the inventions that could help us medically. Many diseases would be incurable.
On the other hand, when things are put in to experimentation, scientists are really not that concerned about what is going on around them in some ways because their only concerned about the results. This can be sometimes devastating. Just like for example, pollution on our surroundings, many plant or species on our environment can be taken and many animals can be disturbed also. This is where Science can be a disadvantage.
Our health can be at risk too. Like if were exposed to too much radiation that is from different technologies. And another example is that if were also exposed to air pollution, we could have many respiratory diseases. Newly invented gadgets can be a disadvantage too if it is used in a wrong way. The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is also one case of showing the disadvantages of inventing advanced weapons in relation to Science and Technology.
But based on some of the given points above, we are still the one responsible of how to handle the things Science has given to us. Like what I said on the things above, it has its own benefits and disadvantages.
